The department aims to give all students at the École the basic knowledge that all engineers, civil servants and researchers need, and to provide students who decide to specialise in I.T. with both an overall view of the discipline and an in-depth knowledge of recent developments in their chosen domain.

The courses on offer cover both the basic, essential aspects and in-depth teaching at the cutting edge of progress in the domain.
